Viruses are involved in the production of clouds

Emiliania huxleyi multiply rapidly in the oceans and form water blooms visible from space. Virus attacking this alga causes its decay releasing large amounts of smelling dimethyl sulfide. Onto this substance, water condenses in the sky and clouds are formed. Metaphorically, virus can be viewed as clouds originator :-)
