New laboratory Biosafety level 3
Scientists from the Institute of Parasitology, Biology Centre have a new microbiological laboratory at a high biosafety level BSL-3. Watch a new short video about the lab work.
Microbiological Laboratory BSL-3 allows scientists to work on high-risk viruses and pathogens threatening human health. Especially encephalitis, rabies, exotic diseases, Zika virus, and others are being studied here.
The laboratory is situated in a new pavilion of Parasitology in Ceske Budejovice.
