Management Committee is managerial body that consists of seven members and convene regularly to discuss all pertinent questions and issues related to project progress and planning.
Prof. RNDr. František Sehnal, CSc.
MOBITAG coordinator, WP7 leader; Director of BCAS
Studies of animal physiology in Brno University, postdoctoral stays in USA (Case Western Reserve University and University of California Irvine). Research in insect physiology, developmental biology, and plant-insect interactions, professor at the University of South Bohemia. Publications: more than 220 papers with IF and 22 patents. Principal investigator of 18 domestic and foreign grants (since 1991). Major domestic functions: Director of the Entomological Institute (1995-2003); Vice-Director of the Grant Agency of the Academy of Sciences (1998-2001); Member of the National Accreditation Commission (Ministry of Education, 2004-2010); Director of BCAS (2007-2011). International experience: Chairman of the Council for International Congresses of Entomology (2004-2008); currently on the editorial boards of 10 international journals.
Doc. RNDr. Jindřich Bříza, CSc.
Leader of WP2, Vice-chairman of BCAS Supervisory Board
Graduated in genetics from the Charles University (Prague); currently Head of the Department for Gene Manipulations in the Institute of Plant Molecular Biology and senior lecturer at the University of South Bohemia. Research: plant genome structure (role of transposons, regulation of gene expression) and the use of plants for the production of vaccines (human papillomavirus). Publications: more than 20 papers with IF, 1 patent.
Ing. Oxana Habuštová, Ph.D.
Leader of WP5
Studies in the Agricultural University in Nitra (Slovakia), postdoctoral stay in the Institute of Sciences of Food Productions in Bari (Italy). Research: plant protection (use of copper in the potato fields, impact of insecticides and GM crops on the non-target arthropods); so far 10 publications.
Ing. Michaela Krištůfková
Leader of WP6, Director Assistant in BCAS
Graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, worked for Gama Factory and then as Exhibition manager. Since 2006: Director Assistant in BCAS, responsible for EU projects.
Prof. RNDr. František Marec, CSc.
Leader of WP1, BCAS Board member
Studies: biology in the University of J.E. Purkinje; postdoc in Medical University Lübeck, Germany. Now: Head of the Genetics Department in the Entomological Institute and Professor in the University of South Bohemia. Research: structure-functional chromosome analysis in insects, development of genetic sexing for the SIT programmes. Publications: 55 IF articles and 3 book chapters. Tutor of 6 PhD students.

Studies of molecular biology J.E.Purkynje University, postdoctoral stays in the Institute J. Monod, Paris, and in the Institute of Health and Consumer Production, Ispra, Italy. Now: Head of the Department of Plant Virology. Research: Detection, identification, and molecular biology of plant viruses. Publications: 38 original IF papers.
PaedDr. Martina Žurovcová, Ph.D.

Studies of biology: Pedagogical faculty in Ostrava and Biological faculty of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic; graduation from the State University of New York, Stony Brook (USA); postdoctoral stay in the University of California Irvine. Research: Evolutionary and population genetics, use of molecular markers for species identification, molecular ecology. So far 12 IF publications.
